I recently got me one of these:

Cements my IT Crowd/semi-geekiness kudos to titanic proportions...
Games I have been playing lately:
360: Mirrors Edge - cool idea, fun if you like plummeting to the ground when you miss a jump and other such dying escapades. Bit short though, finished it... quickly.
360: Fable 2 - nice RPG, love those, lots of customization and a good storyline so far, looking good.
Wii: Wii Fit - staple of my life for almost a year, thank you Wii Fit, I am the queen of hula hooping!
PC: Sims 3 - nice sequel, mastering cooking was fun, I like adding customized music (It's great working out to Dragonforce!), the character design/clothes is endless!
not much else to say other than my 26th b'day is looming... joy.... *ambivalence*

Apparently it has been 85 weeks since my last update. Erk, that's quite a while... almost 2 years.
I am basically jumping on the Susan Boyle bandwagon, and I'd like to say how wonderful her performance on Britain's Got Talent was.... I hate reality TV/ Talent Shows, I didn't watch the initial broadcast, but have seen it on Youtube. It's a real breath of fresh air that someone who doesn't conform to the ideal of a modern day "star" can experience such an overnight phenomenon as Susan has. However the cynic in me does think that she will soon be a puppet in the money-making existence of the record companies. I love show tunes, I have seen Les Miserables in Bristol a while ago, Susan's performance was pretty mind blowing for someone who does not sing professionally. Kudos to her and her plucky spirit.
In other more everyday news, I have lost over 5 stone in weight (well... that is after putting weight on a tipping the scales at over 21 stone!!!!!!! <-------- WTF!, currently at 16 stone which is pretty abysmal. Target is 12st 7 lbs... 175lbs for everyone else), I have the command of the house as my parents have gotten a job overseas for 4 years. Unfortunately the novelty of living alone has worn off, I do not like all these extra chores I have to do, nor do I enjoy budgeting for food, electricity, gas, and other necessities.
So yeah.... life is different, Robot Chicken/American Dad/ Family Guy/ Spaced - rule. The new Red Dwarf: Back To Earth was a disappointment but better than nothing. That's it for now, tata.

Yesterday I played host to someone doing work experience. Once again, initial thought was "ah crap, not another teenager...", but I was quite surprised, she kept an interest and paid attention. Of course, she could have been thinking "god this is dead borin'", but eh who gives a toss.
Got new tyres for the 206 yesterday too, I am never ever going to drive through Northampton at rush hour again.
Lately I have been listening to Kasabian, I must confess, they seem to have hit a nerve. Now I don't go for modern bands but I quite like these sound these guys have.

What's been happening with me... hmm...
Last Wednesday I spent most of the evening in Hospital, waiting to see what I'd done to my right arm. I hurt it, luckily it wasn't broken. Something to do with the Carpal Tunnel (spelling bah) area. So I've been taking it easy, everything's pretty much back to normal now luckily.
This weekend it was mums birthday (59th), I got her "Fly me to the moon" a 3cd easy listening boxset, unfortunately I like most of the stuff on it, so it's a bit rude to ask to borrow it straight after I gave it too her ;)
I'm off to do the hoovering (oh joy)

A nice 4 day break is almost over, for my birthday I got:
A Nice Rotary Watch + a pair of shoes from Mum + Dad (Unfortunately the shoes were one of the smallest size 9's ever, and fitted Alex - who is a size 7! So I'm going to buy myself a pair and get the money :p )
American Dad Season 1, a BIG bunch of roses + a pair of Technics Headphones from Danny. I'd asked him for a new pair of headphones for my PC, I'm using a really old pair that were thrown out at work, so bless him, he got the same make that he uses, so I know they're quality :)
Today once again, everyone got together for a BBQ, Sausages + chicken aplenty. Alex brought his partner Adam over to our house for the first time, he gave him the grand tour, luckily I'd tidyed my room on Friday, it was a lovely afternoon, a bit warm though.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me.
I'm now 23, hmm, 23 on the 23rd, only once can I say that. So far today I have hoovered out both my cars and opened my cards from the family. Good old Bridget the Midget started reliably after dad charged the battery, not bad for a 41 year old car, I'm currently trying to cool down, after I have done so it's time to attack them with a hose + some soap to get a nice clean look, and if I can figure out how to do it I'll attempt to administer some polish (if we have some).
Oh hum, no rest for the wicked I suppose, toodle oo
EDIT: Cars are now washed, it's 11:45, I'm completely knackered + wet, it's all good fun :)

Crap, time to crawl into a hole for 12 weeks, the heresy that is Big Brother starts again tonight. time for another bunch of cretins to flaunt their pathetic selves on our television sets. It makes me depressed what passes as entertainment these days. Of course, lots of cavorting, senseless nudity and fisticuffs will be in plenty of supply.
Time to watch a hell of a lot of DVD's.

Long time no update.
After a lovely week I got back home Sunday night and had to be up the next morning bright and early to go too hospital to have my wisdom teeth out. My operation wasn't until 11:15, so I waited around reading Dilbert Books + watching the National Geographic channel. I got to wear those flattering backless gowns and some stockings to prevent deep vein thrombosis. I got carted off to the prep room and had the needle in the back of my hand, an oxygen mask on my face, next thing I remember I was in the recovery room with huge swabs in my mouth to mop up the blood. It took at least 2 hours until I could remove them because I was surprisingly oozy. I have lovely stitches in my mouth and 4 gaps, unfortunately this morning the anesthetic has worn off so I'm in quite a bit of pain, I need to have my ever so nourishing soup before I have my pain killers, and I'm delaying that by writing here... so tata, I need to get drugged up ;)
